| Diagnosis & Treatment |
| Cancer diagnosis and treatment have a profound affect
on patients and on their families. Our experience with
patients has demonstrated the need for additional care
beyond the traditional diagnoses and treatments for cancer.
Patients need information and support for emotional, spiritual
and social needs. We offer a number of supportive services. |

| Supportive Care &
Rehabilitative Medicine |
Rehabilitation and supportive care are an integrated
part of Utah Cancer Specialists. Gregory J. Miller, MD,
helps patients maintain the maximum independence and functionality
possible during and after treatment.
This care and rehabilitation starts at the time of diagnosis
and is coordinated through a patient’s oncologist
to ensure the entire scope of treatment supports the patient’s
cancer treatment and rehabilitation. Depending on a patient’s
needs, supportive care treatment plans may include exercise
physiology, acupuncture, massage therapy or consultation
with a dietician, clinical psychologist or a personal
or spiritual advisor. |

| Complementary Care |
In addition to traditional medical treatments, we work
in partnership with community experts and professionals
to coordinate a wide range of complementary treatments.
Any complementary or alternative medical treatment should
be coordinated with a patient’s UCS doctor to ensure
the treatment is not counterproductive to physician prescribed
oncology treatments. •
