Please plan two hours for your first visit. This allows time for registration, your medical consultation and time to visit with a Patient Advocate who will acquaint you with the resources for your care through UCS. Bring a family member and your insurance cards. |

|
Follow-up visits will usually be under an hour. Please notify the receptionist if your address, phone number or insurance coverage changes during the course of your treatment. If you cannot make a scheduled appointment, please notify the office so that we can accommodate other patients. |

A unique aspect of our practice, Patient Advocates work directly with each patient throughout their treatment to assure continuity of care and full coordination of all insurance benefits and resources. They coordinate your treatments, complementary therapies, and insurance coverage. Where necessary, they also arrange financial assistance, emotional support and education for patients and their families. |

We accept most major insurance plans. We will gladly bill your insurance plans directly for your care. Please familiarize yourself with your plans’ policies for oncology care. Many insurance plans require a written referral from your primary care physician. We will assist you with billing information or in planning special financial arrangements for our services. If you have questions about billing and insurance, please contact our billing office at (801) 266-0878. |

Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please contact the office where you are receiving your care for appointments, test results and questions about your care and condition. We make every effort to return calls promptly. Some issues may require an appointment with your doctor for a thorough discussion. If you need urgent medical attention beyond our regular office hours, please go directly to the hospital emergency room. A Utah Cancer Specialists physician will be contacted upon your arrival. |
